Denise Girouard is co-founder and partner of

Cornerstone Real Estate Consultants, Inc., but her

prior experience is vast and varied. After serving for 18

years in a number of management positions at AT&T,

she began her career in real estate in 1999.

Denise acted as trainer at two other real estate companies,

eventually rising to the position of Broker-in-Charge.

While thoroughly versed in management, Denise is

no stranger to the demanding role of realtor, having

consistently achieved the status of multi-million dollar

producer. Denise is also experienced in working with

investors, 1031 Exchanges, land developers and is a past

member of Carolina Real Estate Investors. She has taken

extensive training in marketing via the internet/web

and is a Senior Real Estate Specialist which is additional

training for assisting with the needs of mature clients.

Denise met her husband Steve in 1979, and they have

been together ever since! Steve is a Licensed General

Contractor and Denise has worked side by side with

him at the job site and is familiar with all aspects of

the construction process from footings to landscaping!

Together they have built seven spec homes in the area*.

Originally from Massachusetts, Denise and Steve have

also lived in Jacksonville Beach, FL, for 5 years. Denise

is the youngest of seven children and feels blessed to

have a large, loving family complete with 20 nieces and nephews!

After 23 years of church ministry alongside her husband Mark, Donna Logan responded to a new calling: Real Estate. The career change was not as shocking as it might seem; Donna's family has long been involved in land development, home sales and building. In short order, the energetic agent became a top producer and consistently has sales in the multi-million dollar range. Donna is the leasing agent of the Blue Ridge Business Center, located on the north side of Asheville. She is also directly involved in the development of this business park seeking to help bring new job opportunities to Western North Carolina.

Donna is a Certified Luxury Home Marketing Specialist which includes specialized training in the upscale market. She has frequently listed and sold upper-tier homes in the Asheville area. Also trained in dealing with the senior market, that ministry mindset takes over in helping older adults with their real estate needs at this stage in life.

When Donna is not focused on real estate, she enjoys spending time with her family. She and Mark have four children and are involved in a variety of activities. Mark does missions work through Baptist International Missions Inc. Together they serve in their home church as members of Trinity Baptist Church. Several of their children have attended Asheville Christian Academy and Mark & Donna can often be found on a local court or sports field as they support their children and the school community. They believe in giving back as God has so richly blessed their life.

Renae Brooks

Renae Moss Brooks was born and raised near Hendersonville, and now lives with her husband and two children in Asheville. She has a strong work ethic that she got from being raised as a 'farm' girl on an apple orchard.

Following her university experience at Appalachian and Clemson, Renae became a successful stockbroker with Merrill Lynch. Renae left the business to raise her two children at home. Over those years, she has catered a number of large weddings and has directed the Children's Ministry in her church. For the past several years, Renae and her family have made and sold fried apple pies at Hendersonville's Apple Festival.

Renae's daughter, Kelly, is attending Wheaton College in the fall, and her son, Kyle, is a student at Asheville Christian Academy.

Renae's personalized approach to business makes her a valuable Realtor. Renae has now added her talents to the Cornerstone team. She shares with her fellow agents at Cornerstone the personal integrity and sincere desire to match her clients with the perfect property.

Denise Gray Bagby’s greatest joy is to become so acquainted with her clients that she truly knows and understands their needs and desires relating to selling and/or buying a home. Her history of serving others with her many talents and energy continue to be her focus as a Realtor. Denise is managing member of her own company, Re-Designed, LLC, where she helps others redesign their homes for better use and profits at selling. This is a tremendous benefit to her clients as she works as a Real Estate Broker with Cornerstone Real Estate Consultants, Inc. Denise has been married to David Bagby for 23 years, and has two wonderful children. Nicole is attending the University of North Carolina, Charlotte, and is majoring in Marketing and Chemistry. Nate is in 9th grade and enjoys sports and reading. Denise also volunteers at the Asheville Pregnancy Support Services where she is able to use her Nursing and Counseling Degrees to impact the lives of women who find themselves pregnant in adverse situations.

Sylvia Honeycutt Hitchcock is a native of Western North Carolina and first began working in real estate here in the early 1980’s. Although her career path has taken her in other directions since that time, she has had the opportunity to stay actively aware of the changing real estate market in the Asheville area over the past 25+ years.

After living in another state for a short time, Sylvia came to miss and fully appreciate this mountain culture, its land and its people; and she now clearly sees why Asheville is rated the #1 place to live in America! She thoroughly enjoys residing here with her family at her home place, which is located north of Asheville. Here she enjoys a mini-farm lifestyle and coordinates the health care of her mother. She has thoroughly enjoyed having the home place property not only as a private haven but also for the purpose of raising organic produce and flowers which she has had the opportunity to market through the Madison County Farmers & Artisans Market.

Sylvia holds degrees in Business Education and Office Administration from Mars Hill College as well as an associate degree and specialized real estate training through Asheville-Buncombe Technical Community College. Over the past 20+ years, she has served as an adjunct instructor for A-B Tech, teaching courses related to computer technology, career exploration, success skills, and human resource development. She has also had an interest in the health care field, serving in administrative roles in health care management, as well as owning her own business marketing natural health supplements. She now seeks real estate as a career once again, and she looks forward to working with buyers and sellers in dealing with the acquisition of residential as well as commercial properties in this beautiful Appalachian region.

Sylvia has found that she finds the most joy in life when she has the opportunity to meet and serve people at their need level, whether it be to academically encourage a college student concerning how to best utilize their skills in the marketplace, to help someone in meeting their health care needs, to minister to spiritual and emotional needs through her church (Gateway Christian Community), or to assist someone in buying, selling, or managing the specific property to meet their real estate needs.

In whatever accomplishments Sylvia may have had or will have in her lifetime, she desires that God be given the glory; and she desires to be used of Him to be a blessing to others. Jo Anne Williams

Jo Anne, a second-generation real estate broker, is resuming her real estate career after 20 years as a teacher and assistant principal in the sandhills of NC. She is dedicated to getting to know her client's needs and personalizing the real estate process. Prior to her education career, Jo Anne listed and sold residential and commercial properties in Fayetteville, NC, was a member of the million-dollar club and was regularly recognized for Top Sales and Top Producer. She worked closely with military families and many first-time homebuyers, helping them to navigate through the system. Jo Anne was a band director and church organist/choir director for many years and served on the Board of the NC Symphony. She earned an undergraduate degree in music at UNC-CH and holds a Doctorate in Educational Leadership with a Minor in Business Administration from Fayetteville State University.

Her two sons attended UNC-CH and NC State University where she and her husband are still regular participants in band and sports events. Jo Anne is excited about her relocation to the awe-inspiring Asheville area and the opportunity to assist others in achieving their dream.
